Nikki reached out to me with a number of sketches from an artist she liked and asked if I could create something similar for an event. While I do have some skill at drawing by hand, this particular style wasn’t in my wheelhouse. To meet her needs I found a marquee to use as inspiration and recreated a version of it in Illustrator. I then affected the lines of the drawing to give them a hand-drawn feel. Fonts were selected to coincide with her brand as well as the original styles used on the original marquee.
